This model is equipped with improved acoustic properties, including excellent detection of high-frequency sounds thanks to the firm pressure mechanism on the adult side. The chestpiece has a cup shape and features an adjustable diaphragm on both sides, providing superior acoustics and diagnostic flexibility, as well as ease of use for patients of all sizes. The small side of the thorax can easily be transformed into a chalice with the included anti-cold ring. Both sides are equipped with a smooth, one-piece membrane, making them easier to remove and clean. The innovative adjustment technology of the membrane, an invention of 3M, makes it possible to switch between low and high tones by varying pressure application. The earcup pressure can easily be adjusted for greater comfort by bending the earpiece inward or outward. The Snap Tight, Soft-Sealing eartips are anatomically adjustable, provide greater comfort and a better seal, and are easy to replace. The stethoscope's dual tube design provides two separate sound channels, eliminating the traditional sound of chafing tubes. By forgoing the use of latex or phthalates, the hose will last longer and be more resistant to skin oils, alcohol and stains, as well as easier to handle.
