Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 (Adult)

Powerheart G5 electrode set is applicable for adults. These defibrillation electrodes can be used pre-connected. The positioning of the electrodes is indicated on both the packaging and the electrodes themselves. Place the electrodes at least 2.5cm away from any deployed device.

The rescuer who does not require CPR feedback on deployment can use these electrodes. This is because the special pad, which provides the feedback, has not been added to these electrodes. This set therefore consists of two separate electrodes.

Shelf life of the G5 electrodes

Electrodes have an expiration date due to the conductive gel which can dry out. These should not be used after the expiration date. Therefore, always make sure that you have connected an unopened set of electrodes whose expiration date has not yet expired. The Powerheart G5 electrodes have a shelf life of approximately two years. The expiration date can be found on a sticker affixed to the back of the packaging.
